Illuminating Opportunities to Support Clinical Trial Recruitment and Retention

Illuminating Opportunities to Support Clinical Trial Recruitment and Retention

THE CHALLENGE

Prior to a Phase 3 study for a rare disease treatment, a clinical-stage biotechnology company sought to better understand people living with the condition on a deep, nuanced, and truly human level to accelerate clinical trial recruitment and maintain trial retention

THE ACTION

Through reflective journaling and virtual ethnography methodologies, we brought to life the human experience of the condition, uncovering unique needs, motivations, lexicon, and burdens within the population and understanding specific drivers and barriers to clinical trial participation

THE IMPACT

In gaining this empathetic understanding, the team was able to better relate to patients, speak their language, and derive strategies and services to effectively support clinical trial recruitment and retention

Inspiring Breakthrough Product Positioning in Nuclear Medicine

Inspiring Breakthrough Product Positioning in Nuclear Medicine

THE CHALLENGE

Ahead of launch, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company and its advertising agency sought to understand how to best differentiate and position an amino acid radiotracer in a way that inspires trial and usage over the competition

THE ACTION

Through one-on-one, in-depth interviews with nuclear medicine, neuro-oncologist, and neuroradiologist specialists, we gained a deep understanding of product attributes and benefits compared to the competition and how the product can best deliver meaningful value to customers

THE IMPACT

Our research not only led us to the most inspiring product positioning across multiple specialists but also delivered foundational insights to help the team navigate a new, highly scientific landscape and maximize launch success
